Moral Codes are The basis of all philosophies
Presented here, is a brutal, basic definition and origin of
moral codes that govern the behavior of individuals in
every group, tribe, nation, and corporation in the world.
Once you grasp this, you will understand the behavior
of individuals and countries around the world.
Every moral code has two distinct parts: the religious code
is concerned with the hereafter, and the civil code is
concerned with the here and now.
The religious code of every tribe, nation and group is
established as a result of the human intelligence which
asks, `What happens to me when I die?' We cannot believe
that all our learning and our love for our fellow man can
just vanish when we pass away. So the person who offers the
most satisfying destination for the soul becomes the
religious leader.
The civil code is a formalization of common law. Groups
that survive have established practices that provide
safety, food, and housing for everyone in the group. Such
groups usually encourage acquisition of the
necessary items which make the individuals more comfortable
and the group better prepared to survive.
The civil codes frown on individuals who practice greed,
which is `excessive or reprehensible acquisition'
which would certainly discomfit other individuals
and weaken the defenses of the group.
A Demagogue is a leader who makes use of
popular prejudices and makes unproven or false claims and promises in
order to gain power and wealth.'
Demagogues take command in both the religious moral code and the
civil moral code.
Religious demagogues become medicine men or preachers
or Popes.
Civil demagogues become The Chief or The Chairman
or The dictator.
The Ten Commandments of the Christian religion are an
example of the two parts.
The first five are religious
codes which demand that individuals love God if they want to go to heaven.
The last five are civil codes that demand that individuals refrain from
doing things that would endanger the group.
Religious moral codes are needed to give individuals hope for their future.
So believe!
Civil moral codes are needed to give people rules to live by.
So behave!
